Sleep Apnea Symptoms
Sleep apnea symptoms are a direct result of suffering sleep apnea. The most common sleep apnea symptoms a sufferer may notice include:
==> Apnea - Times where the person ceases breathing during sleep. "Apnea" means a temporary suspension of breathing and is the initial sleep apnea symptom.
==> Chest Pain - Especially while attempting to sleep.
==> Choking or Gasping - Choking or gasping for air while attempting to sleep.
==> Constant Waking - Through the night while attempting to sleep. This is a common sleep apnea symptom.
==> Depression - Especially without understanding why.
==> Excessive Daytime Sleepiness - Falling asleep or feeling drowsy when you should generally be wide-awake such as whilst driving, eating, talking, or working is a common sleep apnea symptom. Because the brain wakes a sufferer repeatedly during the night, they are only getting poor quality sleep, causing tiredness. Most of the time, the sufferer is not aware of waking a number of times during the night because they do not fully come out of sleep.
==> Frequent Urination - Getting up a number of times to urinate during the night.
==> Headaches - Either in the morning or at night.

==> High Blood Pressure - This sleep apnea symptom can lead to serious cardiovascular problems.

==> Personality Changes - Moodiness, irritability, anger, or being over-emotional.
==> Restlessness - Particularly while attempting to sleep.
==> Sexual Dysfunction - Impotence and sexual dysfunction are common sleep apnea symptoms.
==> Snoring - Snoring is a warning sign for sleep apnea. Snoring results from an obstruction to the airway at the back of the throat. When the brain wakens a sufferer to commence breathing again, the large breath initially taken causes the excess tissue to vibrate, causing snoring.
==> Sweating - Through the night while attempting to sleep.
==> Swelling - Particularly in the legs.
==> Tiredness - Being tired without having overexerted yourself.
==> Trouble Remembering - Even recalling the simplest things.
==> Unable to Focus or Concentrate / Short Attention Span - When your body is sleep deprived, your mind cannot focus or concentrate.
==> Waking Unrefreshed - Feeling like you have had little or no sleep at all.
Other conditions with symptoms similar to sleep apnea symptoms include:
==> Hypothyroidism - An under active thyroid.
